The 30 years of Libertas’ history have been dedicated to the design and delivery of houses. In this period, we have continued to grow, learn and evolve with enthusiasm.
We have overcome many challenges and difficulties with honest humility and by keeping our permanent focus on improvement and on fulfilling our commitments.
We have progressively incorporated several areas of the real estate sector into our activity and today we are a fully vertically integrated group. At present, Libertas has the autonomy to conceive, design, build and commercialise comprehensive urbanisation projects, as can be seen in the diversified portfolio we manage.

Everything that mankind does has a huge effect on the world in which we live. There are too many billions of us to live without worry, so we have to make choices. And Libertas, as the Real Estate Group responsible for several thousand square metres, has made theirs. We have chosen sustainability, which manifests itself through a design and construction process that is environmentally certified. We have also chosen diversity, investing in renewable energy and organic agriculture, without forgetting about restaurants and tourism. In this way, we contribute, although of limited impact, if followed by others, will be greatly amplified.
We have over 30 years of history following this same conduct and always with solid and growing results, even in unstable periods. Such performance attests to the fact that environmental sustainability can be a friend of financial sustainability. And it also confirms that the humanism we apply in the creation of our projects and the relationship with our team makes us stronger and more future-oriented.

History
What was left behind helps us understand what we want to be for the future (small).
A company’s history is the greatest proof of its commitment to the vision it has set out. And ours does not lie. Throughout more than 3 decades of life, we have grown in a manner consistent with our principles. And it’s to a great extent since we are a company with a single nucleus, where the Gonçalves family assumes and materializes the outlined vision on a daily basis.
If we were more dedicated to construction in the first phase, today we have a more comprehensive real estate intervention, integrating architecture, construction and development, either by creating new projects or by rehabilitating old properties in unique locations.
In 2005 and 2006 we took our diversification one step further and entered the tourism, organic farming, and renewable energies sectors, consummating our vision of a green and global company that seeks to endow its projects with sustainable self-sufficiency.
The years that followed were ones of serene but continued growth, entering countries like France, Sweden or Brazil and increasing our activity in Portugal.
We also expanded into catering, a logical consequence of creating real estate clusters with their own life.
In short, we are a company proud of its past but very focused on its future.
The Libertas Group has chosen to ensure that all its areas of activity (real estate, tourism, restoration, renewable energies, and agriculture) complement each other, creating projects that are as self-sustaining as possible.

Its form of action would be different, the areas to which it has spread its activity would be different and even its logo would have a different shape.
